As a tenent,do I have to pay for building improvements ? LA 90064?
My landlord had to pay 1 million dollars for bulding foundation improvement.LAHD send us a letter saying we’ll pay U$83.00 a month for 72 monts for the half of it.Shouldn’t the building have a insurance for this kind of situation?Should we pay for the bulding improvements?
PS – Old building, since i moved in it haven’t had any improvement.
As a tenant, I would think it would be the landlord’s responsibility for building improvements unless your lease states otherwise. I don’t see why you should have to foot the bill for the improvements as you are not the individual renting the property. Read your lease carefully and see what it states.
